Eye Exams for Children Under 5 years of age

Sharing is caring . . .

Thank you for your inquiry. If you feel that your child is having issues with seeing animals across the street, colors of certain items, then definitely yes. Ask your children questions as you are driving, going for walks, etc. For instance, can you see that dog across the street? Can they distinguish colors? Also when your child is at their pediatrician they will generally do a quick exam using a scope. But as always, if you think that your child is experiencing visual problems, you should set up an eye appointment to rule out any issues.

Do you or spouse’s family have a history of glaucoma, vision issues, diabetes, etc.? Those are all instances where we highly recommend that we take a look internally at their eyes and check their prescription.

Please let us know if we can answer any further questions.
