We're Scheduling Appointments

After complying with the American Optometric Association and the Colorado Optometric recommendations of closing our office for several weeks, we are re-opening for regular business hours on Monday, April 27. During these past weeks of closure, a deep cleaning and sanitation of our office has been done. We will strive to continue to provide the quality and continuation of care to which our patients are accustomed. Our number one goal during this difficult time will and always has been giving the highest level of care and safety to our patients.

At LEC, we have always taken pride in ensuring that everything our patients come in contact with has been disinfected. Due to COVID-19 we have increased our disinfection and sanitizing procedures throughout the clinic to keep our patients and staff healthy.

In order to help combat the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus, the Lakewood Eye Center is asking that:

1. Only one person accompany minors to their appointment and to pick up orders.
2. Adults should come to their appointments alone, if possible.
3. If you are over 60 or immune compromised, please contact our office so accommodations can be made.

We thank you for your patience and understanding. We are so grateful to serve this caring community and know that we will all work together to get through this difficult time.

COVID-19 Eye Health Care Guide for Patients

Copyright American Optometric Association

As the COVID-19 public health crisis continues to evolve, patients continue to look to doctors of optometry, their primary eye health care physicians, for accurate eye health and vision guidance. The American Optometric Association's (AOA) priority is to support the health and safety of the public and the optometric community and will continue to assess the COVID-19 situation to ensure everyone not only understands the risks associated with this pandemic but also has the latest information available.

Why is my doctor of optometry's office closed for routine care?

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) have strongly advised that healthcare facilities and clinicians nationwide, including doctors of optometry, restrict their in-person visits and procedures to urgent and emergency patients only for the next several weeks. In addition, all routine eye care visits should be postponed to a later date. Essential eye health and vision care may be necessary, which can be determined on an individual basis by consulting with your doctor. These measures are in place to not only keep you safe, but also to combat further community spread and a wider outbreak of COVID-19.
