A yearly eye examination is recommended for all individuals to not only ensure optimal vision, which many times is attained through a prescription for eyeglasses, contact lenses, or refractive surgery (Lasik, PRK), but to also ensure optimal eye health. In a routine eye exam, we are screening and checking for conditions like dry eye, cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and many others. There are several eye diseases that don’t have noticeable symptoms until the end stages when, unfortunately, it is sometimes too late to prevent vision loss.
